Children's Film Festival

2015 - Many paws make light work at the Lions Children's Film Festival.

On Saturdays 2nd, 9th and 16th April 2016 Nightcliffe Lions, with the help of International Entertainment Australia, present the Children's Film Festival, where special children and their families came to enjoy a film together with the support of local Darwin Businesses.

Last year hundreds of children and their families have poured through the doors of Birch, Carroll and Coyle on Mitchel Street to enjoy free movies and treats at the Children’s Film Festival. This annual event, sponsored by Lions, ensures children from all backgrounds or with special needs, can enjoy the movie experience with their siblings, parents, grandparents and carers-something that may be out of reach for many. For one family, newly arrived from Africa, it’s the first time they’ve been to a cinema.  But Lions generosity doesn’t end there. The Childrens  Film Festival is only one of the many community projects in which Lions is involved.

Lions prepared the drinks and handed them out with Ice cream while other Lions ushered children and families around the Birch Carroll & Coyle Cinema on Mitchell Street. A good morning was had by all.
